Vitamin A Used For Treatment On Cellulite

In this study, 15 women participated in an experiment to determine the effect of a topical vitamin A treatment on the appearance of cellulite. Participates were given the topical cream of vitamin A or a placebo cream to apply to cellulite. At the end of 6 months, the skin was examined. Vitamin C Supplements Improve Heart and Lung Function

In this study, vitamin C was compared to the use of diltiazem for helping to improve the function of the arteries. In one part of the study, the use of vitamin C supplements was compared for smokers versus nonsmokers. In the other part of the study, vitamin C and diltiazem were given randomly to patients prior to surgery. For the first part of the study, all the participants, smokers and nonsmokers, had an increase in their surface area, but smokers had more of a benefit from this effect. In the second part of the study, vitamin C was actually found to be more effect for vasodilatation than the diltiazem. This suggests that the use of a vitamin C supplement can help to improve heart and lung functioning and can help to improve overall functioning for those people who smoke.

Vitamin C Use Prevents Common Cold

This study looked at the use of vitamin C to help prevent the common cold. A total of 168 participants were given either a vitamin C supplement or a placebo over the course of 2 months. They were instructed to record any symptoms of a cold into a daily journal. At the conclusion of the study, those participants who had taken a daily vitamin C supplement had fewer colds, and when they had colds, they were less severe, and they recovered quicker. This suggests that the use of a daily supplement containing vitamin C could provide some protection against getting a cold, and helps to reduce healing time.
